The Pathfinder Club is a worldwide program of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, serving millions of young people across the globe. Dora Creek is pleased to be part of this long-established and trusted movement.
The Dora Creek Pathfinder Club is a Christ-centred program for young people aged 10–15, designed to support their spiritual, physical, mental, and social development. Through camping trips, outdoor activities, service projects, honours, and Bible-based learning, Pathfinders are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God while learning practical skills and building confidence.
Pathfinders follow a structured class curriculum (Friends through Guide), with each level appropriate to a specific age group. The curriculum covers key areas including spiritual growth, health, nature, outdoor skills, church heritage, service, and recreation. In addition, Pathfinders can complete a wide range of honours and awards, allowing them to explore interests, develop competence, and learn responsibility.
The club is led by trained and screened volunteer leaders who provide a safe, supportive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and respect. Pathfinders learn to work together, serve their community, and develop leadership skills that are valuable both within the church and in everyday life.
Parents and caregivers play an important supporting role, partnering with leaders to encourage their young people’s growth and involvement. The club meets regularly throughout the year, with activities planned to be age-appropriate, purposeful, and engaging.
We invite families to join the Dora Creek Pathfinder Club as young people learn, serve, and grow together.
